Late last year we suspected that there was a problem with the Hewett Room floor. In 1996, the floor level was raised by putting a false floor over the original jarrah floor in what had been the old Sunday School room.
During the first week of January 2011, Russell Grear organised a team to cut sections of the floor and found the termites hard at work. Fortunately they have only destroyed about a quarter of the floor and the whole area has now been treated and by the time that you read this the damaged area will have been repaired.
Thanks to the team of Property Ministry volunteers the room will be back to normal before the year’s activities get under way.
