Hi my name is Jordan Collette ~ I am 12 years old and I have had Type 1 Diabetes for 6 years. I am trying to raise awareness and money towards research for a CURE; that is why I have entered a fundraising team in “Walk for a Cure”. This event is being run by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), of which I am a Youth Ambassador.

The “Walk for a Cure” will be on Sunday the 17th October 2010 at Wigley Reserve Glenelg. The walk commences at 10.30am, but fun activities start at 9.30am and go through till 2.00pm. Further information can be gained from the JDRF website: http://walk.jdrf.org.au/
