One of the ideas that has come from a couple of parents is the idea of “proxy grandparents”. They asked, “Are there people within the congregation who are interested in being in the role of grandmothers or grandfathers to our family?”

The background of this is that a couple of families involved in Mainly Music who don’t have grandparents involved in their children’s lives for different reasons, usually to do with distance, have had inquiries about whether or not there are members of the congregation who might be available.
