Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who gave so generously to refugees recently. We were able to deliver another 22 bikes plus helmets to children at Elizabeth Downs. There was much excitement and the parents were thrilled. As we drove away the children were riding their new acquisitions around the school basketball court. As well as the helmets we were able to help a struggling family with $235 towards their power bill. Again thank you.
During the next school holidays some Circle of Friend folk plan on visiting the Salisbury Welcome Centre. If you can help with any of the following that would be much appreciated: sewing machines, in good working order & hopefully with instruction book (several refugee women were dressmakers & would love to be able to sew again), children’s clothing, soccer balls, scooters and food items (there are a number of families in desperate need). Suitable foods include rice, pasta, cereal, tomato paste, canned vegetables & tomatoes, dried beans & lentils, long life milk. If you are able to help please deliver to the church office.
