Playgroup Thank you
A big Thank you to all who have helped out with cleaning up and setting up for Playgroup this term. It has been a great help, both the Sunday morning set-up and the assistance with cleaning up on Mondays in the absence of a number of our regular helpers. I will need to call for help on a few more Mondays in term 4 until our regulars are back on full duty. Your willingness to help is very much appreciated.
This term we have had a musical theme and on Monday 25th at our last playgroup session for the term several of BUC’s wonderful musicians are joining us for a musical extravaganza, demonstrating for the children what their instruments look and sound like and how they work. Following that we’ll have an interactive story of the Musicians of Bremen, with participation by the children, a trumpet to make on the craft table, and hopefully musical cookies for morning tea. A fun way to end the term. And our thanks go to Nina Murton for playing the church organ for the children last Monday. It’s been a fun and interesting term, exploring music with stories and songs, celebrating Father’s Day and the arrival of Spring (we think!), making mini African drums, tambourines with bells, mini banjos, trumpeting elephants, magpie kazoos and much more. Many thanks to all who helped prepare the crafts and cut up multiple pictures of musical instruments, to those who helped tell stories and sing songs, and to our faithful regular helpers on set-up , clean-up and morning tea. It’s a truly communal effort. Marnie Agnew on behalf of the Roundabout Playgroup team.
