On Sunday, 8^th October 2017 from 2:30pm-4:00pm at Brougham Place Uniting Church. Topic: Women’s Suffrage – who campaigned for it in SA and why? Guest Speaker: Dr Jenny Stock. Jenny will talk about the social and political background to the suffrage movement and engage in conversation about it with members of the Historical Society. There will also be an opportunity to hear about Brougham Place’s distinguished nineteenth century minister and social activist Rev Dr James Jefferis, and do a tour of the church building. Afternoon tea will be provided.
