Mitcham Council last Tuesday voted to leave the War Memorial Soldier on the Church corner where it has been for the past almost 100 years.  The survey of residents was inconclusive with 32% voting to leave it on the Church corner, 32% to move it to the park beside the “Save the Children” Op shop, 34% voting to move it to Waite Reserve, and 2% to move it somewhere else.
