The theme at Playgroup this term is Families, and we’ve included special celebrations for Mother’s Day, Reconciliation Week and World Environment Day. Numbers have been down a little since we farewelled 8 children at the end of last year, and now with winter illnesses, pupil-free days and mothers going back to work also kicking in, but we still provide a much-appreciated service to the community and we have a core group of parents and grandparents who make the playgroup a regular date on their weekly calendar. As is the norm at BUC, many of our helpers head off to other places from time to time, so we are very grateful to those who step in when needed to fill the gaps in setting up, cleaning up and running the various aspects of the program.
