The Property Committee have approved the purchase and installation of new commercial grade wool carpet for the Foyer area which is desperately in need of it! A builder designer was consulted to choose the colour. It is anticipated it will be installed in the next few weeks.

The Committee established a Technical Committee earlier this year, to start looking at a whole range of things associated with the church complex as we look to possibly give it a bit of a “face lift” to make it more welcoming, functional and flexible. At this stage they are in the early stages of gathering information. Later in the year it is anticipated there will be lots of opportunity for the congregation to be involved in just what might occur or not, as the case might be.

It would have been nice to delay the carpet replacement until there was certainty in regards to future work or otherwise. But it was considered to be in such bad state it could indeed become a safety hazard. Whilst there may be subtle changes in the foyer area in future, it was considered unlikely to impact too much on the new carpet, so it was decide to act straight away.
