If you are travelling through Coromandel Station during peak hours on May 21 or 22, don’t be surprised if you are asked to have your say!
Two community groups, the Blackwood / Belair & District Community Association (BBDCA) and the Blackwood Action Group (BAG), will be asking what do you think of the proposal to have Coromandel Station renamed to Wittunga Station?
These groups think Coromandel Station is a long way from Coromandel which does mislead visitors who get off the train only to find they are a long way from where they intended to be in Coromandel. Their proposal is to rename it to Wittunga Station which they believe more accurately describes the location as being the nearest station to the Wittunga Botanic Gardens, which could encourage more visitors.
If the public do not support this proposal, then the subject will be dropped.
If you would like to send your own feedback on this question, please email the BBDCA on email@example.com.
