The following message received several weeks ago indicates that the Garage Sale is not just a fund raiser. In a handwritten card received by post, a member of the community wrote:

Dear Church members.
A note to say thank you for the garage sale and all the work you put into it. One thing we bought was a BMX bike for our grandson who has come to live with us. It’s now all in parts and spray painted black and bright red. The bike has brought such a lot of happiness into our family and for this we say thank you. Bruce Galah, Veronica and Jeremy.
