At a meeting in the Church several weeks ago, the Blackwood Action Group (BAG) described its proposed redevelopment of Waite Reserve which includes the possible shifting of the War Memorial from its present position in front of the Church to Waite Reserve.

The War Memorial is a significant Blackwood landmark and is closely associated with our Church.

Its removal would markedly change the view of the Church from the roundabout and is a contentious issue involving the RSL, Mitcham Council, Road Transport Authority, and Blackwood residents.Details of the proposed Waite Reserve redevelopment can be seen on the BAG website at www.bagi.org.au.
