SA Pioneer – John Dunn
May is “History Month” and a great opportunity to learn more about our SA Pioneers and this week we hear the story of John Dunn.
John Dunn (1802-1894) was a Pastoral Pioneer of SA arriving here in 1840 and is probably most remembered for founding the milling firm of John Dunn & Co, first at Mt Barker and including the mills at Bridgewater and Mannum and went on to have the largest connection with flour milling in the Southern Hemisphere at that time. Mr. Dunn also served in the first Legislature of this colony, altogether representing his country in Parliament about twenty years.
Join us at 10.15am on May 9 to hear the full story from Peter Brinkworth.
