Story Sunday: What is Baptism?
This Sunday at our Easter Story Sunday, the children were asking questions about “What is baptism?”
Following on from the recent Messy Church Baptism service, we are offering the children an opportunity to explore their questions a bit more this Sunday June 16, in the Dene Hall between 4-5.30pm.
We use a doll and the key elements of the baptism service to ‘do’ the baptism service, and then follow up with questions and time for creative response – art, writing, role play etc. We will also talk about Jesus being the Light of the World. The aim is simply to offer an opportunity to explain one of the fundamental practices of the church so that when they hear it talked about the children will understand it better. For children 4 years and older, and their parents.
If you know of anyone who is interested, please let Marnie Agnew know.
