The Blackwood Uniting Church Property Committee successfully applied for a Mitcham Council Community Development Grant and was awarded $500, to assist in providing equipment for the use of the Church as a Bushfire Retreat. Successful recipients were recognized at a Mayoral reception and commended for their service to the Mitcham community.

Anyone interested in being part of the volunteer team to supervise the Bushfire Retreat are invited to speak to Russell Grear or Bob Lyon.
