Our December 2nd meeting will be screening of the short feature film “Wongi Warrior”.
“Wongi Warrior” is an imaginative short film creatively incorporating a retelling of the life, pain and hopes of Aboriginal World War 2 hero Jim Brennan and his family. From the deserts of North Africa in World War 2 to the beautiful land of Western Australia, this film is a ground-breaking collaboration of independent filmmakers and Indigenous community elders to give a voice to the stories of this land. The filmmaker is a former Coromandel Valley resident, Josh Loymeyer, who works for YWAM in Perth. I will have some more promotional material in November to support this.
