Work Desperately Needed
A family living near Darlington is in desperate financial need. The wife is studying at Flinders University for a Masters in Education and is on a scholarship from the Sri Lankan Government which covers her tuition with a small amount to cover expenses. However their financial resources have been largely eroded because they didn’t understand that they had to pay an Australian Government annual fee of approximately $6,000 to cover their 7 year old son’s education at Darlington Primary School.
To try to earn money to meet expenses the husband (a policeman in Sri Lanka) is willing to do any work but to date has only been able to get intermittent work picking grapes which will not cover their living costs. He is well educated, young, fit, strong, speaks reasonable English with an accent and is resourceful. He is willing to garden, paint, wash cars and do labouring jobs but needs to use public transport.
