January Working Bee
The Feast of the Epiphany on Monday January 6th was celebrated at BUC by 22 members, who dined on freshly made scones, strawberry jam and cream, mince pies and biscuits.
In between the feasting Russell provided the revellers a range of activities, which included –
- Outside windows cleaned throughout
- (Most) cobwebs removed
- Red chairs cleaned and broken caps replaced where necessary
- Exposed beams in Coffee Lounge cleaned
- Ovens cleaned
- White tables in Hall scrubbed clean
- The back door repainted and Blue Tac removed from the external wall
- Toilet doors repainted
- Toilet seat in the Disabled Toilet replaced
- External sliding door of the Wet Room refitted
- Back gate repaired
- Door and door frame between Hewett and Wet Rooms repainted
- 3 cupboards on wheels in Dene Room sanded back and varnished
- Corner of external wall between front door and Minister’s Office cleaned
- Playground tree overhanging Main Road footpath trimmed back
- Communion table sanded and varnished
