A global ecumenical movement, the World Day of Prayer is led by Christian women who welcome all to join in prayer and action for peace and justice. It is run under the motto “Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action” and is celebrated annually in over 170 countries on the first Friday in March. The movement aims to bring together people of various races, cultures and traditions in a yearly common Day of Prayer, as well as in closer fellowship, understanding and action throughout the year.
This year’s Service has been prepared by Women from Zimbabwe. We will pray for Zimbabwe using the prayers and thoughts that they have sent us.
In the Blackwood Hills churches are joining together at Blackwood Uniting Church, Main Road, Blackwood @ The Roundabout, 1:00pm Friday 6th March.
