The Blackwood Circle of Friends is supplying three volunteers on each Saturday morning in August to work at the Lions Bargain Centre on Shepherds Road between 8.15am. and 12.30pm. The Lions will give the Circle a donation for each volunteer. The money is much needed at the moment to help support refugees as this will be the first active fundraiser since the institution of the virus restrictions.
The work involves moving furniture and other items, unloading donations, loading items sold and breaking up unsaleable furniture etc.
We have filled most of the positions but need one volunteer on the 1st. and another on the 22nd. with another to act as a reserve on the 8th. of August.
The Lions have made changes to comply with Covid safe requirements. Any volunteers should strongly consider having a mask and hand sanitiser with them.
