As you know, we have been working through a process of envisioning our future as a community of faith here at Blackwood Uniting Church. This has involved a series of workshops, as well as online surveys, seeking to distil common themes and needs, as well as to discern how we might best connect and engage with our wider community.

One of the recurring threads that has emerged has been that of ‘story.’ Again and again, we have heard people speak of the importance of connecting with others through the sharing of story and personal narratives. We have been exploring the possibilities of us becoming a centre for ‘story-telling’ here at Blackwood and are excited to announce our first foray into this arena: ‘My Life Story’.

‘My Life Story’ will be a 3-session workshop, professionally facilitated by Rhonda Smedley, and to be held on August 18, August 25, and September 1 at Blackwood Uniting Church.
