Numbers have been down but slowly returning after our COVID shut-down. We believe it is important to continue to offer this service to the community. The involvement of the church people is vital to the provision of this service. Next term we are going to be a few helpers short as Dave Smith is unavailable for the term and Marnie is having knee surgery. The following areas involve no more than half an hour once a month (unless you choose to do more). Please consider if you could help in one or more ways outlined below:

Cleaning up helpers: We particularly need help with packing up from about 11.20 – 11.45 or 12 noon. Jobs that need doing include spraying chairs and tables then stacking them, washing paint brushes, putting away the outdoor play equipment, vacuuming the carpets, rolling the carpet squares and putting them away, putting large indoor play equipment in the storage room. If you could help with half an hour even only once a month it would be a great help. We would roster people on when it suits you so there’s not too much doubling up. Please speak to Carys, Jackie O or Marnie.

Stories and songs: We would also welcome anyone who would like to read a story or sing some songs with the children while Marnie is away, from 19^th October till 16^th November. It would involve 20 minutes between 10.30 – no later than 11am. Please see Marnie or Carys if you can help.

Morning tea: We could do with one or two more people to help serve morning tea. It is done in the same COVID-safe way as on Sunday mornings. There are not a lot of people to serve and it would only be once a month. Please see Jean Potter if you can help.
