Packing Day 2021 has finished!!  Allied Pickfords collected all 170 boxes (which was our goal) from Marion, Athelstone and Balhannah churches on Wednesday. They will now be delivered to Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Darwin by Allied’s at no cost!! Unfortunately, we had to pay for Sea Swift to deliver from Darwin to the coastal communities, but it was at a good discount price which “Sally Stamp” will help us with.  We have no control over delivery but hopefully it will be within a few weeks.

We were overwhelmed with goods this year, probably due to the combination of it being 2yrs since the last Packing Day plus the number of people that cleaned out their wardrobes during Covid! Some will go to Goodwill, and the rest has all been boxed and stored while we work out how to distribute it.

It is our intention to try to get as much as we can as soon as we can, to people in need, rather than hold it all until next year. If anyone is travelling over the next few months and might be able to carry a bag or two to places like Pt Augusta, Marree, Oodnadatta, Alice Springs etc, please get in contact with us!!

We are so thankful again to the BUC community for supporting us in so many ways during this project, but particularly this week in the actual packing at Marion. You are all amazing!
