Resignation of Jacqui Harrison
It is with deep sadness that we advise the intended departure of our Office Manager and Community Class Coordinator Jacqui Harrison from her role at Blackwood Uniting Church. Jacqui has given notice and will be leaving on 13th February.
Jacqui is very sad to make this decision, the decision being driven by personal circumstances – namely building a new home – which dictate her finding full-time employment.
Jacqui has been a part of Blackwood Uniting Church for nearly twelve years:- four years as a member of our community classes; and, for the past seven and a half years, as our Office Manager and Community Class Coordinator. To say that Jacqui is loved by our community is a profound understatement. To say that she will be missed fails entirely to convey the reality.
It has been the immense good fortune of Blackwood Uniting Church, and all those many groups and individuals which comprise it, that Jacqui has filled the role in the way she has these past seven and a half years. Jacqui combines her extraordinary professional competency with a manner that simply lights up, and lightens, all those around her. She hasn’t merely done her job very well; she has offered us, for seven and a half years, the gift of herself. Jacqui is a beautiful spirit, and a supremely competent person who will bless Adelaide Venue Management when she takes up her full-time role there on 17th February.
We wish Jacqui all the very best in her new work role, as well as with the complexities of building their new home. Rest assured we will be having a going-away celebration for Jacqui, details of which will be forthcoming.
Sincerely and sadly yours,
Adrian Brown Michael Dowling
Church Council Chair Minister
