The Blackwood Action Group Fashion Parade, in aid of the Ukrainian refugee plight, was a huge success raising $6765.00 which will all be directly donated to Ukrainian refugees in Adelaide, many of whom are women and children.

 All who attended had a truly enjoyable time and were very moved by the emotive presentation about life as experienced in Ukraine both in the past and today. Blackwood businesses outdid themselves with their selections of fashion and the Blackwood Action Group’s (BAG) afternoon tea was outstanding.

 In addition to supporting BAG in this venture, at BUC we have been asking for items that may be of assistance to refugee families. Everyone has been most wonderfully generous, and I am sure that the lovely items delivered so far will be extraordinarily helpful to these families. Whilst donations are being gratefully received, we do ask that for the next week you hold onto any donations you may have, as currently the warehouse handling this program is full to the brim and they simply cannot accept any more until items are processed.
