Faiths 4 Climate Justice 2022: Multi-Faith Service
The following is an invitation to this event from Uniting Church minister Rev. Chelsea Size:
Hello everyone,
On behalf of the Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC), I would like to extend a warm invitation to each of you, and the members of your communities, to come along and be a part of the upcoming Faiths 4 Climate Justice multi-faith service.
Thursday 13th October
8am-9.00am
St John’s Anglican Church
379 Halifax Street Adelaide
In Adelaide, our shared service will include First Nations and Pacific Island representatives, alongside the many faith communities who have made South Australia their home. Farhan Shah, a renowned Sufi musician, will perform and share news of the tragedy unfolding in his country, Pakistan. Our multi-faith service will be also supporting an open letter to the Prime Minister, signed by over 80 senior faith leaders, to call for climate justice and supporting the proposed Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty.
We welcome people of all faiths or none to join us on October the 13th. Together we can support commitment to climate action that matches the urgency of our times. We can also support each other, and those communities who are most vulnerable to the immediate impacts of the climate crisis.
With kindness
Rev. Chelsea Size
