invites you to a
“Yarning Circle”
A Yarning Circle is a creative & collaborative way of communicating which is an important process within Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander cultures. The purpose of this event is to create a harmonious, non judgemental space in which to learn more about the proposed
Voice to Parliament.
This will include the
Uluru Statement from the Heart.
It is important to listen respectfully to one another’s views as knowledge is shared, doubts are expressed without interruption, & honest interactions developed.
Facilitator: Rev. Anne Hewitt, Executive Director of ‘Churches Together SA’ Saturday May 20th. 10.00am start
Venue: Mortlock Lounge, AnglicareSA Westbourne Park, (next door to the Health & Wellness Services) accessed from 56 Monmouth Rd (main entrance) or 26 Norseman Ave. Some parking onsite or on Monmouth Rd.
Morning tea is provided. The morning session with Anne will be followed by lunch. In the afternoon we will have a time of sharing, & then Worship finishing by 3.00pm. You are welcome to come for part or all of the day.
If you are staying for lunch please bring a plate of finger food to share.
