If you have some time, from a few minutes or half an hour, to an hour or two to spare on a Monday morning, Playgroup could use your help.

Things that need to be done include putting out the bikes and outdoor play toys before 10am, helping cut up paper for painting, putting away the outdoor toys from 11.20, putting away tables and chairs and rolling up the carpet squares from 11.30, running the vacuum cleaner over the Hewett and Dene rooms.

If you’d like to spend some time with the kids, there’s playing with them inside (usually involving drinking endless imaginary cups of tea in the home corner), helping children do craft activities, talking with parents, and watching over children playing outside. (You can see why we’re going to miss Bruce!) We also have room on the morning tea roster for one or two more people.

Bruce can tell you how rewarding this can be. We don’t expect to get a total replacement for Bruce, and the parents and carers do help clear things away, but a bit of extra help for Trevor from 11.30, especially while Jackie and Tony O are away, would be very helpful.
