Whilst Beacon in its original guise is no longer active, a small conglomerate of community members have put their heads together to provide a platform to reignite Beacon in 2024 with a broader reach and hopefully a wider volunteer community to support its function.

Catherine Hutchesson MP for Waite, Tracey Yeem of the Green Dispensary, MHICC and a number of other groups and individuals are working together to rebuild this valuable community support arm.

There is currently collections for goods for hampers to support local families in need this Christmas and goods can be dropped off at the Waite Electorate office in Young St on Friday 7^th December or to the Blackwood Church of Christ for packing on Monday 11^th December.
