“Three Name’s One Woman” Film Screening at Tiwu Kumangka, Blackwood
On the 3rd of June 2024, as a part of Reconciliation Week, Aunty Kunyi’s film “Three Name’s One Woman – Kunyi’s Story” will be screened at Tiwu Kumangka.
The film reveals the life story of Aunty Kunyi June Anne McInerney, a survivor of the stolen generation and taken, along with her 3 siblings, when she was four years old. These children were all sent to the Oodnadatta Childrens home in the 1950s.
Whilst this screening is already booked out, please don’t miss Kunyi’s exhibition of her extraordinary art works which will be on display at the Mitcham Memorial Library during June and July 2024.
Its an exhibition definitely not to be missed and the wonderful paintings on display are available for sale. You may find something beautiful for just that spot in your home. So please take the time to call in and enjoy.
