At Messy Church in August, we did more learning and practising prayer. We used an overflowing volcano to remind us that we can talk to God when our feelings become too much to bear. We made a placemat with a prayer for mealtimes and decorated a box full of prayers to keep and use somewhere at home. And we shared our prayers of “It’s Not Fair!”, crying out to God in the ways of the Psalmists and Habbakuk.

We were missing some of our regulars due to sickness but welcomed some new faces with joy.

We look forward to gathering on September 22 (unusual date, due to Father’s Day first Sunday in September and school holidays in October) and learning around the theme of New Starts and Baptism.
