The UCA National & World Mission Support Group operate the Red Dove Cafe at the Royal Adelaide Show each year raising much needed funds for the work of the wider community (approx $40,000/year). Last year our old premises of over 60 years in the sideshow area was demolished and we now have a brand new building at the south-eastern end of the oval near the horse, cattle & pig pavilions. We are expecting our income to be reduced as we will no longer be in a prime position. This is an exciting time for the cafe and the chance of establishing new relationships.

We are desperately seeking volunteers again this year at the Cafe for the 2017 Royal Adelaide Show (dates are Friday 1st – Sunday to 10th September, plus we will be open 30th & 31st August for our new patrons). The operating hours this year are from 5.45am to 8pm daily with 3 shifts of approximately 5 hours. Many of the previous roles have been changed and new ones created. All volunteers receive free entry, meals and tea & coffee for each shift worked.
