"Changing of the guard" at BUC
This week we did a final farewell for Riki Owens-Bennett with a lovely meal at the Duck Inn. We give thanks for the blessings she has provided in the last 1½ years and wish her well in her new position and with her Master’s studies.
We also welcomed Jacqui Harrison as the Office Manager & Community Classes Coordinator. Jacqui writes of herself:
I am a mum of three small children. My two eldest boys attend Belair Primary School and the Belair Scout Group of which I am the Treasurer. I am also the Treasurer at the Belair Jean Bonython Kindergarten.
I have been living in the Belair area for about 13 years, previously I was at Hawthorndene for approximately five years. I have been a stay at home Mum for seven years and am now re-entering the workforce. My previous roles were in Office Management, Bookkeeping, Marketing and Event Management. My hobbies (when I get some time to myself) are sewing, embroidery, reading, music (playing the flute), baking and gardening.
I am looking forward to my new role at the Blackwood Uniting Church and hopefully I can bring enthusiasm and experience to the role. I look forward to the many challenges I will have to face and meeting new people which I enjoy immensely.
